Terms of Service

Last updated July 27, 2026

The short version: booking is free and nothing is charged online. The price you are quoted at the walkaround is the price you pay, agreed before any work starts. If you are not happy with the result, tell me before I leave and I will put it right.

1. Who these terms are between

These terms apply when you book or receive services from Exo Mobile Detail, a mobile auto detailing business serving Tumwater, Olympia, Lacey, and the surrounding Thurston County area of Washington State. By booking an appointment, you agree to them.

2. Booking a quote

Booking a walkaround through this website is free and does not commit you to any purchase. No payment details are taken online.

Booking online reserves the walkaround only — a short visit to look at your vehicle and price it. It does not reserve time for the detailing itself, and other appointments may already be booked that day.

If you want the work done, I agree a day for it at the walkaround, or over the phone afterwards. Where the day allows it, that can be the same day.

3. Prices and quotes

Prices shown on this website are starting rates, not final quotes. The actual price depends on the size of your vehicle and its true condition, which I assess in person at the walkaround.

At the walkaround I give you a firm, final price. Work only begins once you have agreed to it. If you decline, there is no charge and nothing is owed.

Additional charges that may apply, always disclosed and agreed before work begins:

  • Condition — vehicles in heavier condition take longer and are priced accordingly.
  • Biohazard and severe conditions — situations involving mold, bodily fluids, or excessive waste require specialized handling and protective equipment, and are quoted on site.
  • Add-ons — optional extras you choose, at the rates shown.

4. What paint correction can and cannot do

Paint correction improves the finish by removing an extremely thin layer of clear coat to level the surface around a defect. It works well on swirl marks, light scratches, oxidation, and water spots.

It cannot repair damage that has gone through the paint. Deep scratches you can catch a fingernail in, rock chips down to primer or metal, and cracked or peeling clear coat require paint or body repair, which I do not provide. I will tell you plainly at the walkaround what will come out and what will not. I do not promise a flawless result.

5. Your appointment

I come to you. To carry out the work safely I need reasonable access to your vehicle and enough space to work around it. I bring my own water and power, so you do not need to provide either.

If you need to cancel or reschedule, please let me know as early as you can — a call or text is fine. As a single-operator business, a slot held for you is one I have turned away other work for, so advance notice genuinely matters.

I work outdoors. Severe weather may mean I need to reschedule; if so I will contact you as early as possible and find another time.

6. My promise on quality

Before I leave, I walk the vehicle with you. If any part of the work does not meet the standard I described, tell me then and I will correct it on the spot at no extra charge.

7. Your vehicle’s condition

Detailing reveals what is already there. Pre-existing damage — failing clear coat, previous poor repairs, worn or torn upholstery, cracked trim, existing rust — may become more visible once dirt is removed, and in some cases can be disturbed by ordinary cleaning. I am not responsible for pre-existing damage or for wear that comes to light during a detail. Where I notice something of concern, I will point it out before continuing.

Nothing needs to be done to the vehicle before a walkaround. Before any detail that includes interior work, please empty it, including the glovebox and center console. I do not move, sort, or set aside personal belongings, so anything left inside is cleaned around rather than under, and the result in those areas will be limited. I am not responsible for items left in the vehicle.

8. Payment

Payment is due on completion of the work, unless I agree otherwise in writing. I do not collect payment through this website.

9. Limits

I carry out my work with reasonable care and skill. Except where the law does not allow it to be limited, my liability in connection with a service is limited to the amount you paid for that service.

10. Changes and governing law

I may update these terms from time to time; the current version is always the one on this page, with the date shown at the top. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington.
